Suggested Itinerary

day 1
Nairobi to Masai Mara
  • Morning: Transfer from your hotel in Nairobi to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Masai Mara. The flight takes approximately 1 hour, providing stunning aerial views of the Great Rift Valley and the Kenyan plains.
  • Mid-Morning: Upon arrival at the Masai Mara airstrip, you will be met by a safari guide who will transfer you to your lodge/camp. Enjoy a game drive en route.
  • Afternoon: After lunch and some relaxation at your lodge or camp, embark on an afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara is famous for its dense population of wildlife, including the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), cheetahs, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras (during migration season).
  • Evening: Return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay, enjoying the serene African wilderness under the stars.
day 2
Full Day in Masai Mara
  • Morning: Start the day with an early morning game drive. This is the best time to spot predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they hunt in the cool of the day. You may also opt for a hot air balloon safari (at an additional cost) to experience the Mara from above at sunrise.
  • Lunch: Return to your camp for a leisurely lunch or enjoy a packed picnic lunch in the bush, allowing you to maximize your time in the park.
  • Afternoon: Continue your game drives through the rolling savannahs of the Masai Mara, tracking elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and other wildlife. Depending on the season, you may also witness the Great Migration as hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras cross the Mara River, braving crocodiles and other predators.
  • Optional: Visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about the Maasai culture and their traditional way of life (optional and at an extra cost).
  • Evening: After a full day of exploration, return to your camp or lodge for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.
day 3
Masai Mara to Nairobi
  • Morning: After an early breakfast, head out for a final game drive to catch any wildlife you may have missed. The morning is an excellent time to see predators like lions and leopards still active from the night.
  • Late Morning: After your game drive, transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi, which departs late morning.
  • Afternoon: Upon arrival at Wilson Airport in Nairobi, you will be transferred back to your hotel or the international airport, marking the end of your safari adventure.
